Valerie Shesko

Valerie Shesko specializes in transcendental landscapes that are inspired by nature. Her paintings reflect on the most basic elements in our physical environment: earth, water and air. Composed of fiery color harmonies, sublime textures and subtle, translucent layers of strata, her paintings glow from within, revealing the power and mystery of a world composed of land, sea and sky.

Shesko is well known for rendering luscious landscapes that are both ethereal and mysterious. Her work is always pleasing to the eye and a delight to the soul. Through multiple, subtle layers translucent pigment, she captures nature and reinvents it into a dynamic interplay of color, shape and texture. The results are transcendental landscapes that are easy to live with – peaceful, contemplative, luminous.

Born and raised in Brooklyn, Valerie has been exhibiting her work locally, nationally, and internationally for three decades. She was one of six Ohio artists selected to show with Israeli artists in Common Ground; Contemporary Landscapes from Israel and Ohio that traveled within Ohio and to Jerusalem.

Valerie Shesko studied art history at SUNY Binghamton and received advanced degrees in art education from Southern Connecticut State University and in painting from the University of Cincinnati. She is also a former gallery director and Associate Editor of The Artist’s Magazine, and has exhibited her award winning work internationally.

Valerie Shesko’s paintings have been exhibited in museums around the world and her work can be found in many corporate collections including AT&T, Honeywell, Fifth Third Bank and Senco Products. She has had numerous private commissions as well as commissions for Northwest Community Hospital in Chicago.

Roger Chambliss is a Kentucky silversmith based in Lexington, Kentucky. Roger's silverwork is becoming widely recognized for it's elegance and artistic merit. His handmade or hand-wrought silver pieces are made using traditional silversmithing techniques that have been in use for centuries. In each piece, strict attention is paid to balancing design and function, with quality as an uncompromising standard.
